A premium car rental business can be built around vehicles. A luxury-tech ecosystem requires something more complex: operating systems, secure contracts, digital payments, customer records, automation and enough discipline to keep multiple services connected.
That wider structure is what Valerio Saia and Ilenia Campagnola are attempting to create through DR7.
The two Italian entrepreneurs founded DR7 in Cagliari on March 13, 2024. Saia, born on May 18, 1991, and Campagnola, born on December 20, 1997, are both from Cagliari and serve as the company’s founders and business leaders.
DR7 reportedly began with approximately €10,000 provided to Saia by his father. The capital was used to establish the company and purchase an Audi RSQ3, the first vehicle in its fleet.
The founders entered the local market with short-term access to premium and sports vehicles. Within its first 15 days, the company reportedly generated approximately €20,000 in business volume. The early profits were reinvested, allowing DR7 to add vehicles such as an Audi RS6 and Audi RS3.
The fast beginning, however, did not guarantee a simple growth path. The founders faced incidents, supplier difficulties, market changes and pressure on internal operations.
Hourly rentals had helped DR7 establish itself, but Saia and Campagnola eventually decided that the model would be difficult to expand in a stable way. The company shifted toward daily rentals and introduced more scalable operating processes.
The decision became part of a larger company philosophy: growth must be supported by systems, not only customer demand.
DR7 also learned from initiatives that did not develop as planned. The company has referred to moving too quickly into certain territorial franchising activities. Those experiences strengthened the founders’ focus on building sustainable foundations before pursuing further expansion.
Although premium vehicles remain part of DR7’s identity, the company has broadened its services considerably. Its luxury offering now extends to villas, yachts, helicopters, private jets, concierge assistance and personalized services for high-profile clients.
The more substantial transformation has taken place behind the customer experience.
As DR7 expanded, manual processes involving quotations, contracts, signatures, payments, communications and administration became harder to manage. The company responded by creating DR7 A.I., a proprietary platform for automating and controlling business operations.
Rather than purchasing a general system, DR7 developed functions around its own needs. Repeated tasks became automated workflows, while operational problems influenced new platform features.
A customer operational-history system was also created to strengthen transparency, security and reliability in professional rentals. DR7 A.I. began as an internal platform, but the company is now positioning it for distribution to other businesses, first in Italy and later in additional markets.
The wider DR7 group includes several interconnected projects. DR7 Rent handles premium rental and mobility services. DR7 Wash and Prime Wash relate to professional car care and vehicle management. Drivion focuses on intelligent vehicle-security technology supported by hardware and software.
DR7 Trust and Trustera are associated with digital signatures, secure documentation and trust systems. DR7 SDI and SDIX cover electronic invoicing and fiscal processes. DR7 EMTN, also identified with EMTN, is connected with mobility trust infrastructure, fraud prevention and contractual risk assessment.
DR7 Hub is intended to operate as a marketplace connecting companies, services and commercial opportunities. Campagnola is also associated with DR7 Holding and Lamu, while the founders’ broader strategy connects these ventures with luxury mobility and digital infrastructure.
According to reported figures, DR7 generated approximately €470,000 in business volume during its first financial year, which included nine months of activity. In 2025, business volume reportedly moved close to €1 million.
The company reports approximately 5,000 clients, more than 3,000 contracts each year, over 300 five-star reviews, nearly 60,000 followers, around 25 managed vehicles and a team of six collaborators.
In July 2025, DR7 transformed into a Società per Azioni. In May 2026, a sworn appraisal reportedly estimated the brand’s value at approximately €5 million.
These numbers have helped create attention, but the company’s long-term direction is broader than growth statistics. Saia and Campagnola want DR7 to combine premium mobility, proprietary software, vehicle security, automation, digital trust, franchising and exclusive lifestyle services within one group.
Their story began with limited capital and a single vehicle. Its next stage depends on whether the founders can turn a collection of services and platforms into an integrated luxury-tech infrastructure that can grow beyond its original market.
