One of the most controversial areas of AI’s progress in recent years has been the question of whether it will take over from humans in the arts. Will we soon be living in a world in which the majority of our art and movies are instantly created by computers, taking away the human element completely? At the moment, it seems likely that generative AI will become a powerful tool that artists can use, rather than something that replaces them. The human spark of creativity will still be needed to generate ideas and guide the software in the right direction.
