Nike doesn’t just make kits – they make champions. With more Premier League titles under their belt than any rival manufacturer, the Swoosh has become the unofficial badge of success.
Since the Premier League’s inaugural 1992/93 season, Nike has been the kit of champions.
Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool have all lifted the trophy while wearing the swoosh – contributing to Nike’s remarkable tally of 13 Premier League titles.
Most Successful Premier League Kit Brands
- Nike – 13 Prem Titles
- Umbro – 10 Prem Titles
- Puma – 5 Prem Titles
- Adidas – 3 Prem Titles
- Asics – 1 Prem Title
5. New Balance – 1 Prem Title
A new study by the football betting team at BoyleSports has delved into three decades of Premier League history, tracking the kit manufacturers behind all 33 championship-winning teams since the 1992/93 season
The analysis revealed Nike as the clear champion, with teams sporting the Swoosh lifting the Premier League trophy 13 times.
Umbro trails in second place with 10 titles – seven of which came during Manchester United’s dominant years under Sir Alex Ferguson.
Puma rounds out the top three with five championships, while Adidas has been present for three title wins. Each manufacturer has played a part in some of the Premier League’s most iconic moments.
Both New Balance and Asics sit at the bottom of the table with one Premier League title apiece – but what memorable victories they were.
New Balance backed Liverpool during their historic 2019/20 campaign, which saw the Reds end their agonising 30-year wait for Premier League glory.
Asics, meanwhile, were behind one of the Premier League’s most memorable campaigns. Their partnership with Blackburn Rovers during the 1994-95 season remains the stuff of legend among supporters.
Fueled by the lethal strike partnership of Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton, and masterminded by Kenny Dalglish, Rovers ended an 81-year wait for top-flight success.
Nike’s Lead Set to Slowly Slip Away
Nike’s stranglehold on Premier League success faces its biggest challenge yet. The 2025/26 season marks a large shift – Adidas will outfit eight clubs for the first time, including title favourites Liverpool and Arsenal.
Nike, despite their record 13 titles, will only have three teams: Brighton, Chelsea, and Tottenham.
With Liverpool early favourites under Arne Slot and Arsenal expected to challenge with a myriad of new signings strengthening their runners-up side, Adidas are perfectly positioned to chip away at Nike’s all-time record in the coming years.
The 2025/26 season could be a watershed moment – Nike’s lead will start slipping away as the German giants mount their Premier League takeover.
