In UK adults, an astonishing 57% of daily energy intake comes from UPFs, according to the National Institute for Health and Care Research. This high consumption is linked to a range of serious health issues, including higher cholesterol levels, weight gain, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers.
