Stoke-based charity established in 1977, The Gingerbread Centre, supports homeless and vulnerable families, parents and children from across North Staffordshire. This year, the charity has once again partnered with family-owned Swansway Motor Group to host the Swansway Gingerbread Enterprise 2022, which will help raise funds for families in need.
Generously sponsored by Swansway Motor Group, the challenge is seeking teams of 6 people from local groups, businesses, or clubs to sign up for the 6-week task of growing £50 in seed money into as high a value as possible in support of the cause.
“We are delighted to once again sponsor the Swansway Gingerbread Enterprise Challenge. Last year’s event was a great success, and it’s important to us that we support The Gingerbread Centre in the valuable work that they do in the local community,” said Director of Swansway Motor Group, David Smyth. “We have always been grateful for the support we have received from the people of Stoke and Stafford in our various businesses over the years, and sponsoring this enterprise challenge is another way we can give back to the community.”
Running from the 13th of June until 25th of July 2022, teams are encouraged to find creative, exciting ways to raise funds and beat last year’s grand total of £5,081. This could include using the money to buy raffle prizes, ingredients to host a bake sale or even set up a car washing stall in your local area.
Fundraiser at The Gingerbread Centre, Chris Belyavin, commented: “We are looking for enthusiastic teams of 6, who will find innovative and exciting ways to grow their cash. As long as it’s safe, legal and ethical, there really is no limit to what you do. It’s a great way to build relationships, develop creativity and have lots of fun whilst also raising money for charity. 2021’s event was a huge success and we would love to try and beat last year’s total of £5,081. Are you up for the challenge?”
