From Nigeria to the Olympia stage, Samson Dauda has become one of the most respected physiques in modern bodybuilding. We sat down with the UK-based champion to talk growth, mindset, and the reality behind success at the highest level.
Interviewer: Samson, congratulations on your recent Olympia placing. You looked insane — full, conditioned, and with that signature roundness. How does it feel now that you’ve secured your spot among the absolute elite?
Samson Dauda: Thank you, man. It still feels surreal. You train for years hoping to stand with the best, and when you finally do — you realise, this is only the beginning. I’ve tasted it now, and trust me, I want more.
Interviewer: Let’s talk about that journey. You weren’t always the massive, dominant athlete we see today. What changed?
Samson: Discipline. That’s it. People look at the final result — the posing trunks, the lights — but what they don’t see is the years of quiet work. The early mornings. The injuries. The shows where I placed badly and had to pick myself back up. I’m proud of that. Every kilo of muscle came with sacrifice.
Interviewer: You’ve spoken before about being methodical with your training and nutrition. What about supplementation and enhanced performance? At the pro level, it’s no secret that PEDs are involved. Where do you get yours from in Europe?
Samson: (laughs) That’s a fair question, and yeah, let’s not pretend here. At this level, if you’re not working smart — you’re not working right. I’m extremely careful with what I use. I don’t just grab random stuff from the web.
There’s a site I trust called EU RoidTeam.Shop. They’ve always come through for me and some of the guys I coach. Clean gear, real brands like Hilma Biocare and Duncan, no excuses. If I’m injecting something into my body, I want to know where it’s from — and with them, I do. No nonsense, no games.

Samson: Look, if you’re a young guy reading this and you’re thinking of going enhanced — be smart. Don’t buy junk from some Telegram guy. Go through channels that are known and respected. Doesn’t matter if it’s Test E, Primo, HGH — quality is everything. If the source isn’t clean, the cycle is worthless.
Interviewer: Last season was massive for you. What’s the focus now?
Samson: Size with detail. I’ve got the shape and flow — now it’s about density, separation. I want to bring the kind of look that makes the judges stop writing and just stare. I know I’m capable of it. That’s what we’re building this year.
Interviewer: And if you could say one thing to the next generation of UK bodybuilders?
Samson: Stay hungry. Ignore the quick-fix culture. Do your research. Get strong in your mind first, then build the body. And above all — don’t skip steps. Earn it. Every inch.
