Give Your All and Give Back A Charity Bike Ride for Cancer Research

Few things are as fulfilling as identifying a promising cause and taking proactive steps to support it. While transferring money to a charity is the straightforward way to do so, taking on a charity bike ride can benefit you and others involved in more ways than you’d anticipate. First, you can sightsee breathtaking views and meet like-minded people. Secondly, you’ll boost your mood by contributing to a good cause while enjoying the benefits of cycling.

Every year, thousands of cyclists who believe in the power of taking action gather to pedal across several European countries for cancer research. The charity bike rides are designed for cyclists of all skill levels and take place on different routes that cater to every taste and ability, offering assistance for participants at every stage of the experience.

If you enjoy cycling and want to contribute to worldwide cancer research efforts, let’s discover more about some of the most beloved cycling events to help you make an informed decision about participating.

What to expect from the cycling events

Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide charity working to fund vital research to change and save children’s lives. It offers willing people the chance to contribute to their efforts in more ways and organises charity bike rides for every type of biker, from the experienced to the amateur.

The yearly London to Paris bike event is the most significant one in this regard, offering you the chance to visit several beautiful cities by bike. Crystal Palace in London is the ride’s starting point, continuing through Calais, Arras, Compiègne, and ultimately, the lovely Paris, where you get to explore the famous landmarks. The event takes place between 19th and 23rd of July, details like the itinerary and meals are taken care of, and the organising team will provide support every step of the way. Prepare to create some unforgettable memories and allow yourself to feel very proud of your achievement because it’s nothing ordinary.

If you’re busy for the summer, other famous events occur in the spring or autumn of this year. You can choose from the following:

• • RIDE Wessex Downs Dirty – starting on April 2 and offering two routes covering over 20 miles of off-road riding on different surfaces and challenging hills
  • Ride Wessex Downs – starting on April 2 and approaching three road routes, suiting bikers of any level
  • RIDE Suffolk Sunrise – starting on May 21, providing flat and fast routes, and being appropriate for both newer and experienced riders
  • RIDE Castle – starting on October 1, offering four routes, from 36 miles to 126 miles.

What’s the purpose behind these cycling rides

As mentioned above, the passion for riding and supporting a good cause and the desire to escape the monotony and have some fun unite the bikers for this event. Action Medical Research is the leading UK-based charity, having financed medical breakthroughs for the past 70 years and providing the foundation to assist you in creating a brighter future for children in need and future generations.

By taking on a charity bike ride, you’ll sightsee several beautiful cities and make friends while gaining a great sense of achievement, as the money raised will fund vital cancer research.
