The UK is one of the countries with a quality education system that encompasses many training to equip students with hands-on skills. It’s divided into four main parts. That’s primary, secondary, further, and higher education. All children are legally supposed to attend primary and secondary schools in the UK. Here the education system is divided into four stages.

  • Stage one: 5 to 7 years old
  • Stage two: 7 to 11 years old
  • Stage three: to 14 years old
  • Stage four: 14 to 16 years old

Primary education

This is the lowest education level in the UK. It usually starts when the kid is about five years old and ends at about eleven years old. This level comprises two stages, as shown above. The primary schools are divided into infant and junior levels in some cases.

For the primary level, the first SAT test usually takes place in the second year, while the second one takes place at the end of the lower primary education.

Secondary education – 7 and 8 years

There are usually the first two years of secondary education in the UK. In some schools, these students are kept in the junior school, while they are part of the senior school in other schools. The students study English, Maths, Science, Humanity, and Modern language at this level.

There are still optional subjects depending on the preference of the school. This includes music, drama, Latin, design technology, and art.

You need to read a lot

Secondary education that’s where the “real” learning starts. If you are a student in the UK, you will have to work extra hard to pass your exams. A lot of assignments are usually given. That maybe may be calculations, drawings, or writing assignments. You have to free your mind of any emotional thoughts when revising. The leading academic website writingbros.com provides essays on emotion that the students can use to learn more about how to handle emotions and enhance their writing skills. As a result, learning becomes easy and fun.

Secondary education – nine years

This is one of the most vital years in the UK education system, transitioning from junior to senior school. It’s the basis of the GCSE program foundation. Here students learn English, sciences, math, languages, and humanity. Students still choose to select from the options offered by tr respective schools.

Secondary education – ten and eleven years

These are the last two years of secondary education. Students are awarded a General Certificate of Secondary Education. The subjects chosen above determine your grade in your GCSE program.

There is usually an intensive one-year GCSE program in year 11 for the international students seeking education in the UK. The intensive courses are also available for students aged fifteen years plus as long as they have appropriate education from their respective countries.

University preparation – twelve and thirteen years

This level consists of A-level study and International Baccalaureate. In the A-level study, the students usually take two years. They have a choice of specializing in either four or three subjects.

The International Baccalaureate is meant for students who wish to study more than three or four subjects. Some independent schools in the country usually offer it. Here, students study three subjects at a higher level and three at the standard level.

Students have a lot of time to explore, and starting an educational blog may be one of the best options as they prepare for further education. They have a lot of time to build it and include all aspects that will lead to its success. This time can be used for promoting the blog to a broad target audience.

University – undergraduate study

A bachelor’s degree usually takes three years to complete in a typical UK university, and students are awarded honors level. Some state colleges offer two-year vocational diplomas that grant students exemption from the second year of the degree program.

Postgraduate studies

Most of the postgraduate courses are very intensive in the UK education system. The courses are usually shorter than in the other countries but offer quality education. A typical master’s degree takes about 12 months to complete. A Ph.D. research degree can take about two to seven years.

Conclusion

The UK is one of the most popular destinations for students from overseas. That’s because the country’s learning institutions offer quality education that allows students to explore their interests uniquely. There are usually four stages of education, where each step is further broken down to give more options for the students from overseas. The education system is flexible to the extent that students can engage in hustle activities like starting blogs.
