When work is going well and business is bringing in a profit, it’s nice to reward employees with a corporate holiday or business retreat. Many businesses choose to do this, as it’s a way to treat their employee and show them they appreciate them. The idea is that employees will have a great time, return motivated and work hard again so that the company does well and hopefully offers another corporate holiday or business retreat.
So, where to go for a corporate holiday or business retreat? The options are endless and very much depends on the budget of the business and how many people are going. Some companies will treat their employees to a ski trip, others to a hiking breakaway (there are many benefits to hiking as a business) or a spa break, where they can relax and forget about work.
To help give you some inspiration, we have put together a list of three different options for you to consider.
Hiking
Honestly, when you go on a hiking breakaway, you’ll be hooked! Hiking is great fun and it gives you and your staff a chance to be outdoors together, breathing in fresh air and seeing the landscapes that surround you. You’ll all be working out but it’s low intensity and have plenty of time to bond and speak about anything other than work (although we are sure work will crop up as it always does). Hiking breaks can be anything from a day or two to a few weeks, meaning you can find a length that best suits your business needs.
Spa Break
You will not be surprised that a spa break is a popular option, especially if you are taking your employees abroad. A spa is ideal as it allows your employees to unwind, whilst catching up outside of work. Some employees can swim, some can have a massage, whilst others may prefer to do the fitness classes, such as yoga or pilates. It’s always recommended to relax and unwind after work, and a spa break will certainly help your staff do that.
City Break
If you want to go away but don’t have a lot of time available, a city break is often a good choice. The reason is, that you can fit a lot in, in a city break and cities are often easy to get to. The cost of a city break varies depending on what city you visit but a few great cities to consider include, Barcelona, New York, London, Valencia, Paris or Miami. The more advanced you organise a city break, the better the prices often are and more employees will be able to commit, so try to give yourself plenty of time. Where are you planning on going for your corporate holiday or business retreat? How many people are hopefully going and how long are you going for? Is there anything you think we should be adding to our list above? Let us know in the comment box below, we look forward to hearing from you.
