The background of the base game maintains the theme very well and has details that make it visually appealing whilst being very recognisable for the Hot Gems brand. There is an additional background in the base game that follows a theme similar to the main one. The lift lowers to a different level of the mine with a darker background, more rock design and a blue light surrounding it. Despite being a different background, it still maintains the theme of Hot Gems Xtreme well and is aesthetically pleasing.
