Within the tech sector, AI is the elephant in the room. Artificial intelligence is making huge strides, to the point where it is taking over some jobs. This is naturally creating a lot of tension within certain subsectors, as people worry that they are going to be put out of business by computers that are faster and more efficient than they are physically capable of being. Although AI is taking over certain roles and responsibilities, one thing to note is that it’s freeing up workers to the point where they can take on more important, and challenging work.
Time-Consuming Roles are Freeing up Tech Workers
AI is helping workers take on more complex responsibilities. Game developers can spend more time focusing on how a game looks and feels, without wasting precious hours generating code. AI Lacks Complex Emotional Intelligence

One thing that shouldn’t be overlooked, however, is the fact that AI lacks emotion. A human financial advisor will understand that someone who’s using their inheritance to put a deposit down on a house is different from a millionaire putting a few thousand dollars into a tech stock. AI is incapable of distinguishing between the two, and that leads to some very important points.
AI should be embraced and accepted. With that in mind, it will never overtake human roles, because one thing that artificial intelligence will never grasp is the concept of complex emotion. For that reason, AI will always need some degree of human input, so it can be used to its full potential. AI might be great at taking a swipe at solving a problem, but humans still need to review, revise and potentially override answers from time to time.
With these points in mind, it’s not hard to see that tech workers should be embracing AI, and not fighting it. AI will take over some roles, but this isn’t a negative thing. Tech experts and professionals will always be needed to oversee the process, and as a result of AI, will be able to specialise within their role more efficiently. Although AI is becoming more advanced by the day, human emotion is deeply subjective. It will always remain elusive to artificial intelligence, because it is, and always will be, artificial.
