Ebico and Rebel Energy have joined forces in a new strategic partnership aimed at lowering the cost of sustainable heating for everyone.
Through this collaboration, Ebico—recognized as the UK’s first not-for-profit energy provider—will promote its energy plans under the residential brand Ebico Living. Meanwhile, Rebel Energy, a rapidly growing innovator in the energy sector, will supply energy to customers of Ebico Living.
Many households struggle with standing charges, with some customers on Price Capped Standard Variable tariffs facing fees as high as £375* each year without even consuming any energy. Fortunately, this new partnership has introduced an energy deal that significantly cuts these costs.
Ebico’s Signature energy plan features an average standing charge of only £147** for dual fuel customers, offering a remarkable savings of £228. This plan not only provides the lowest standing charge available for fixed-rate home energy but is also accessible through both traditional and smart meters. Combined with competitive unit prices for electricity and gas, the Ebico Signature energy plan represents a significant advancement for home energy users throughout the UK.
Phil Levermore, the CEO of Ebico, stated: “We are absolutely delighted to be able to announce this partnership with Rebel Energy.” He continued: “Rebel Energy shares our focus on the twin imperatives of home energy decarbonisation and affordability and together we are determined that the interests of low-income households should not be forgotten in Britain’s vital transition to Net Zero.”
Dan Bates, the CEO of Rebel Energy, stated: “This collaboration aligns with our mission to end fuel poverty in the UK. By offering the lowest fixed rate standing charges available, we are helping to ease the financial burden on households and promoting a fairer energy market. Together with Ebico, we are committed to delivering innovative solutions that benefit our customers and the environment.”
